GMC has made the 305-horsepower 3.0-liter Duramax® diesel the standard powertrain for the AT4X off-road model. Buyers from San Benito and Harlingen will have your choice of four different engines and two automatic transmissions: An eight-speed or a ten-speed. The base model is a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder that's good for 310 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. The two V8 engines are a 5.3-liter with 355 horsepower and a 6.2-liter with 420 horsepower. The six-cylinder diesel can crank out 460 pound-feet of torque.
In the Denali Ultimate trim with the 6.2-liter V8 engine RGV Rio Grand Valley drivers can reach 60 mph in 5.4 seconds.The new GMC Sierra 1500 has a maximum towing capacity of 13,200 pounds and can haul a payload of 2240 pounds around Rancho Viejo and Port Isabel when it's equipped properly.
Interior highlights
